6+1 Ways To Wear An Asymmetrical Tee: From Classic to Boho Chic

I was going through my closet–attempting to do some spring cleaning–when I saw a vintage bohemian skirt that I’ve never worn. I had recently bought a gray and white striped asymmetrical tee and wondered if mixing those two would look nice. And thus, this post was born! I knew I had unlimited possibilities for the asymmetrical tee when I bought it–bang for my buck, I’d say–and here are some ways to wear them.

Gray and White Striped Asymmetrical Tee, PHP150, Greenhills.

1. Classic

Pair it with a black bandage skirt, pumps and red lipstick for a polished look. Keep it classy by donning simple accessories like studs or pearl earrings and a nice watch.

Where Did You Get That?

  • Skirt: Greenhills, PHP230  (Similar style and color can be bought in Topshop for PHP2,500)
  • Heels: Stall in Mongkok, Hong Kong, HKD50 (or in any shoe store around the world)
  • Lipstick: Estee Lauder in Rich Red, PHP1,500
  • Earrings: 168 Mall, PHP80
  • Eyeshadows: NYX 112 Colors palette, used a matte finish shadow in light beige and light copper, PHP1,800 Karl Edwards Bazaar

2. Chic

Wear over leggings or shorts and tights.  You can opt for a chic look by wearing black leggings and donning gold accessories like bangles and earrings. I wore boots with gold studs to finish the look.

  • Calvin Klein Ankle Boots: Thrifted, PHP350
  • Pink Lipstick: NYX Lip Creme in Adis Ababa, PHP300

3. Laid Back…Neon

Or you can go to the unexpected neon route! Pair with neon colored tights and funky accessories.

4. Girly

Layer over a printed dress. Don’t be afraid to pair patterns! For a more ‘together’ look, cinch a belt over the both items of clothing. Finish the look with a pair of flats. Add a fedora for instant Hollywood paparazzi fashion.

Where Did You Get That?

  • Dress: BHS, Oman (Vintage. This was my mom’s)
  • Belt: Landmark, P80
  • Black Flats: Solemate, SM Department Store, PHP299.75
  • Fedora: “Borrowed” from my sister, shhhh!, she bought it in Palawan
  • Eyeshadows: NYX 112 Colors palette, used a matte finish shadow in light beige and light copper, PHP1,800 Karl Edwards Bazaar
  • Lipstick: Estee Lauder in Rich Red, PHP1,500

5. Park

Pair with short denims and fun sneakers. Try printed Vans or doodled or colorful Chucks. Twist hair into a side-ponytail to ward off the summer heat.

  • Shorts: Old Navy, New York, USD 20-25
  • Converse: Converse (This pair is advertised in the Converse website under ‘Kids’) , USD 50
  • Lipstick: Mary Kay Creme Lipstick in Shell, PHP650

6. Bohemian Chic

Wear a printed bohemian skirt in earth tones. Tie the top in a knot at your midriff. Pair with a hair band worn across the forehead to complete the boho vibe. Try wearing statement earrings and layering bangles to add extra oomph. Run your hair through a curling iron or braid while wet and remove after a couple of hours to get wavy hair. Finish the look by donning sandals to complete the laid-back vibe.

Where Did You Get That?

  • Bohemian skirt: Vintage from aunt
  • Hair band: Girl Shoppe in Greenhills, PHP50
  • Owl Earrings: Girl Shoppe in Greenhills, PHP50
  • Beaded Sandals: MI (Y&I) IT, New York

That’s it! Hope you enjoyed and got some ideas off this.

Cheers!
