As Asians, we may not be as genetically gifted (or mutated–did you know that having blue eyes is a genetic mutation?) in the eyes department as our Caucasian counterparts. Our eyes aren’t the color of the ocean, startling gray, or brilliant green. Instead, we’ve got normal dark brown, eyes dark that they look black. And to top it off, a lot of us aren’t doe eyed. So what do you do to make your eyes stand out when you have tiny peepers?
You use mascara, of course! Lashes draw attention to your eyes and what better way to hook that attention than with long full lashes?
I’ve tried on a lot of mascaras (see my Waterproof Mascara post) but Majolica Majorca’s Lash Enamel Glamour Volume On is one of the best I’ve tried on so far.
The Volume On mascara comes in an elegantly packaged bottle like most of this brands mascaras. It’s sealed in a plastic box where the manufacture date of the product is printed, so you can be assured of the products freshness.
This mascara has a unique two-sided comb for easier application. The comb has two sides; one with closer, thinner teeth and one with wider spaces between the teeth. The first one will separate your lashes and coat them in the rich formula while the second will push them together to create the illusion of thicker lashes.
The Lash Enamel Glamour Volume On mascara volumizes and lengthens in just one coat—you don’t need to add anymore after it, unless you’re going for the false eyelash or doll look.
And if that’s not enough, this product also curls your lashes without the need of an eyelash curler! And if you do use a curler beforehand, the results are just amazing. This mascara holds the curl in place.
And the best bit? It’s waterproof! I love waterproof mascara. For me, it’s a must in our humid (read: sweat inducing) weather. Just so you know how waterproof this is, I have gone swimming for two hours with this on and it didn’t run or wash off. How crazy is that?
Here’s some shots of how it elongates and thickens the lashes:
Curled and with Majolica Majorca Volume On Mascara:
The only downside of this mascara is that it’s hard to remove with most make-up removers. You’ll have to use Majolica Majorca’s Eye Reset Gel. I’ve also discovered that with a bit of work, you can remove this with Pure Beauty’s Perfect Cleansing Oil. Yay! The Pure Beauty Perfect Cleansing Oil is only P199 for a 190 ml bottle versus Majolica’s Eye Reset Gel which is P695 for 30g tube. So if you want to save, you can opt for that as an all around make-up remover.
Last thing about the mascara is that it comes on wet, so you have to hold and not blink for a minute for it to dry and not smear on your face.

Will I Buy This?
Definitely!! Ever since I stopped using the Maybelline Hypercurl, this has been my go-to mascara. It’s pretty expensive but you you’re assured of its quality!
