Gratuitous Red hair post, because I can.

I’ve talked about it before, but the gist of it is is that: 2014 was the year I was a redhead. I’m going to post photos in this entry for documentation, like what they do on HairCrazy. And yes, I am doing it because I’m planning on trying a different color again–even when I know it’s just going to be a vicious cycle of me having fun for a while then ending up lazy to properly maintain it. How do you get your hair to be all evenly colored after an initial dye application, I wonder.

Gotta say, this product lasted quite a while! I still have about 1/4 of the jar left at home.wpid-img_369399768561577.jpeg

January 2015. Much roots, I have. I started the Vitamin C treatment (12 crushed vitamin C tablets mixed with shampoo, left on under a shower cap for 30 minutes – 1 hour) after this photo.

After two vitamin C treatments, my hair faded to a soft pastel-peach shade at the bottom, and a lighter wine shade at the top.

A year of red.

And then I got frustrated since the color just wouldn’t come out! So that’s what forums meant by “stain”. I even tried bleaching it to no avail, so I just cut it off since I was getting tired of my funky colored hair (even though I got a lot of compliments on the color, weirdly). HAHA

My hair still retained the three-toned peach-pink-red hue. So I just covered it up with Garnier Nutrisse Cream in Burgundy 3.16.

Which isn’t supposed to fade, as it’s permanent, but after a month of application, my hair’s returning to it’s almost pale color:

Which obviously, I took as a sign to look for another hair dye to cover it up with. This time, I’ll be trying a color that caught my eye last August. I’ll study my hair first to see what I need to cancel out to get it to show properly though. :DD

I bought all my semi-permanent vegan hair dye from funkystreaks.com. Based on my experience with them, they’re always late with shipping (somehow, the courier never arrives when they’re supposed to–a problem a friend of mine also had when ordering from them. Hmmmm), but the product still arrives. I’ve been meaning to try ordering from RainbowHead, but they never have the colors I want. @.@

SORRY FOR ALL THE SELFIES. BUT. HAIIIIIIIIIIIIR \\o///
